चतुर्युगानां संख्याता साधिका ह्येकसप्ततिः ।

कृतत्रेतादिसंज्ञानां यान्युक्तानि युगे मया ॥

Transliteration

caturyugānāṃ saṃkhyātā sādhikā hy ekasaptatiḥ | kṛtatretādisaṃjñānāṃ yāny uktāni yuge mayā ||

Translation

ચતુર્યુગોની સંખ્યા એકોતેરથી થોડીઘણી વધુ કહેવાઈ છે—કૃત, ત્રેતા વગેરે નામ ધરાવતા તે યુગોને મેં યુગરૂપે વર્ણવ્યા છે।
