Adhyaya 54 — Surya the Sustainer
चतुरशीतिसाहस्रस्तस्योच्छ्रायो महागिरेः ।
प्रविष्टः षोडशाधस्ताद्विस्तीर्णः षोडशैव तु ॥
caturaśīti-sāhasras tasyocchrāyo mahāgireḥ | praviṣṭaḥ ṣoḍaśādhastād vistīrṇaḥ ṣoḍaśaiva tu ||
તે મહાપર્વતની ઊંચાઈ ચોર્યાસી હજાર યોજન છે. તે સોળ હજાર યોજન નીચે (પૃથ્વીમાં) સુધી પ્રવેશેલો છે, અને તેની પહોળાઈ પણ સોળ હજાર યોજન જ છે.
