Adhyaya 34 — Madālāsā’s Instruction on Sadācāra (Householder Conduct, Purity, and Daily Rites)
उपरागे परं स्नानमृते दिनमुदाहृतम् ।
अपमृज्यान्न चास्नातो गात्राण्यंबरपाणिभिः ॥
uparāge paraṃ snānam ṛte dinam udāhṛtam | apamṛjyān na cāsnāto gātrāṇy ambarapāṇibhiḥ ||
ઉપરાગ (ગ્રહણ) સમયે સ્નાન પરમ પુણ્ય કહેવાયું છે; પરંતુ નિષિદ્ધ દિવસે (શાસ્ત્ર મુજબ) તેને ટાળવું. સ્નાન પછી શરીર પુંછવું; જે સ્નાન ન કર્યો હોય તે કપડાં અને હાથથી અંગો પુંછે નહીં.
