FAQs

A king’s glory is measured by dharmic protection (especially safeguarding brāhmaṇas and social order) and by courageous removal of adharma (here symbolized by asuras). The father frames the son’s deeds as continuity of righteous kingship.

Primarily Vaṃśa/vaṃśānucarita (dynastic narrative and exemplary conduct of descendants), with a rājadharma emphasis rather than cosmology.

‘Pātāla-gamana’ can be read symbolically as entering the hidden depths (fear, chaos, or the subterranean forces of disorder) and returning with restored order—an inner conquest mirrored by outer heroism.
