युधिष्ठिरस्य अर्जुनप्रेषण-युक्तिवर्णनम् | Yudhiṣṭhira’s Rationale for Sending Arjuna and Request to Dhaumya
तत्र कोटिस्तु तीर्थानां विश्रुता भरतर्षभ । कूर्मरूपेण राजेन्द्र हासुरेण दुरात्मना
tatra koṭis tu tīrthānāṁ viśrutā bharatarṣabha | kūrmarūpeṇa rājendra hāsureṇa durātmanā | puṇḍarīkam avāpnoti viṣṇulokaṁ ca gacchati ||
હે ભરતશ્રેષ્ઠ! ત્યાં તીર્થોની એક પ્રસિદ્ધ ‘તીર્થ-કોટિ’ છે. હે રાજેન્દ્ર! હાસુર નામનો દુરાત્મા અસુર કૂર્મરૂપ ધારણ કરીને તેને હરી લઈ જતો હતો. ત્યારે સર્વશક્તિમાન ભગવાન વિષ્ણુએ તેનું ઉદ્ધાર કરીને પુનઃસ્થાપન કર્યું. હે યુધિષ્ઠિર! તે તીર્થ-કોટિમાં સ્નાન કરવું જોઈએ; એવું કરનાર પુણ્ડરીક યજ્ઞનું ફળ પામી વિષ્ણુલોકમાં જાય છે.
