न चाप्यधर्मे न सुहृद्विभेदने परस्वहारे परदारमर्शने । कदर्यभावे न रमेन्मन: सदा नृणां सदाख्यानमिदं विजानताम्
vaiśampāyana uvāca |
na cāpy adharme na suhṛd-vibhedane para-svahāre para-dāra-marśane |
kadarya-bhāve na ramen manaḥ sadā nṛṇāṃ sadākhyānam idaṃ vijānatām ||
આ સદા-મંગલ ઉપાખ્યાનને જે સાચે સમજે અને સતત સ્મરણમાં રાખે, તેમનું મન કદી અધર્મમાં, સુહૃદોમાં ફૂટ પાડવામાં, પરધન હરણમાં, પરસ્ત્રીગમનમાં કે કૃપણતાની નીચતામાં રમે નહીં. આ મનોહર કથાનું નિરંતર સ્મરણ હૃદયને આવા દોષમાર્ગોથી દૂર રાખે છે.
