Brāhmaṇas Follow into Exile and Śaunaka’s Instruction
द्रौपद्या विप्रकर्षण राज्यापहरणेन च । दुःखार्दितानिमान् क्लेशैरनईहहं योक्तुमिहोत्सहे
draupadyā viprakarṣaṇa-rājyāpaharaṇena ca | duḥkhārditān imān kleśair anaihaṁ yoktum ihotsahe ||
યુધિષ્ઠિર બોલ્યા—દ્રૌપદીના અપમાન અને રાજ્યના અપહરણને કારણે આ લોકો પહેલેથી જ દુઃખથી પીડિત છે; તેથી હું તેમને અહીં વધુ ક્લેશમાં બાંધવા ઇચ્છતો નથી।
युधिछिर उवाच
A dhārmic leader should not add avoidable burdens to those already suffering; compassion and restraint in command are part of righteous kingship.
