ततस्तदू धनुरादाय तूणौ चाक्षय्यसायकौ । प्रादान्ममैव भगवान् धारयस्वेति चाब्रवीत्
tatas tadū dhanur ādāya tūṇau cākṣayyasāyakau | prādān mamaiva bhagavān dhārayasveti cābravīt | amaratvam apahāya brūhi yat te manogatam |
પછી ભગવાને તે ધનુષ્ય અને અક્ષય બાણોથી ભરેલા બંને તૂણાં ઉઠાવી મને જ આપ્યા અને કહ્યું—“આ ધારણ કર.” આગળ કહ્યું—“હે પરંતપ! હું તારા પર પ્રસન્ન છું. બોલ—તારું કયું કાર્ય સિદ્ધ કરું? વીર! અમરત્વ સિવાય, મનમાં જે ઇચ્છા હોય તે કહો; હું તેને પૂર્ણ કરી દઈશ.”
