श्रीभगवानुवाच जानाम्येतां महाराज धार्तराष्ट्रस्य पापताम्‌ । अवाच्यास्तु भविष्याम: सर्वलोके महीक्षिताम्‌

Transliteration

śrībhagavān uvāca: jānāmy etāṁ mahārāja dhārtarāṣṭrasya pāpatām | avācyās tu bhaviṣyāmaḥ sarvaloke mahīkṣitām ||

Translation

શ્રીભગવાન બોલ્યા—મહારાજ! ધૃતરાષ્ટ્રપુત્રની આ પાપતા હું જાણું છું; છતાં, જો આપણે ત્યાં જઈને સંધિ માટે પ્રયત્ન ન કરીએ, તો સમગ્ર લોકના રાજાઓની નજરે આપણે નિંદનીય બની જઈશું.
