इत्येवं चिन्तयत् कृत्स्नमहोरात्राणि भारत । अनिद्रो नि:ःसुखश्नास्मि कुरूणां शमचिन्तया
ity evaṁ cintayat kṛtsnam ahorātrāṇi bhārata | anidro niḥsukhaś cāsmi kurūṇāṁ śamacin tayā ||
વૈશંપાયન બોલ્યા—હે ભારત! આમ દિવસ-રાત વિચારતા વિચારતા મને ઊંઘ આવતી નથી; કુરુઓમાં શાંતિ કેવી રીતે સ્થપાશે—આ ચિંતાએ મારું સર્વ સુખ છીનવી લીધું છે।
