एवं तदभवद् युद्ध तदा भरतसत्तम । संध्याकाले व्यतीते तु व्यपायात् स च मे गुरु:,भरतभूषण! इस प्रकार वह युद्ध चलता रहा। संध्याकाल बीतनेपर मेरे गुरु रणभूमिसे हट गये
evaṃ tad abhavad yuddhaṃ tadā bharatasattama | sandhyākāle vyatīte tu vyapāyāt sa ca me guruḥ ||
હે ભરતશ્રેષ્ઠ! આ રીતે તે યુદ્ધ ત્યારે ચાલતું રહ્યું. પરંતુ સંધ્યાકાળ વીતી ગયા પછી મારા ગુરુ (પરશુરામ) પણ રણભૂમિમાંથી હટી ગયા.
