परिहृत्य श्मशानानि देवतायतनानि च । आश्रमांश्व महर्षीणां तीर्थान्यायतनानि च
parihṛtya śmaśānāni devatāyatanāni ca | āśramāṁś ca maharṣīṇāṁ tīrthāny āyatanāni ca ||
શ્મશાન, દેવમંદિરો, મહર્ષિઓના આશ્રમો, તીર્થો અને પુણ્યસ્થાનો—આ બધાંને ટાળી, તે સ્થાનોથી બહુ દૂર, ઊસરરહિત, મનોહર, શુચિ અને પવિત્ર પ્રદેશમાં કુંતીપુત્ર મહામતિ યુધિષ્ઠિરે પોતાની સેના માટે પડાવ નાંખાવ્યો—જેથી પાવન સ્થાનોની મર્યાદા ભંગ ન થાય।
