शत्रुं कृत्वा यः सहायं विश्वासमुपगच्छति । स न सम्भाव्यमेवैतद् यद् राज्यं प्राप्रुयादिति,जो शत्रुको सहायक बनाकर उसका विश्वास करता है, वह राज्य प्राप्त कर लेगा, इसकी कभी सम्भावना ही नहीं करनी चाहिये
śatruṁ kṛtvā yaḥ sahāyaṁ viśvāsam upagacchati | sa na sambhāvyam evaitad yad rājyaṁ prāpnuyād iti ||
જે શત્રુને સહાયક બનાવી તેના પર વિશ્વાસ કરે છે, તેણે રાજ્ય પ્રાપ્ત થશે એવી આશા પણ રાખવી નહીં. વૈર પર આધારિત વિશ્વાસ ન નીતિસંગત છે, ન સ્થિર રાજ્યશાસનનો આધાર બની શકે.
