न तत्राभ्यधिक: कक्षित् सर्वे ते समतेजस: । “हमलोगोंने तो यही समझा कि यह द्वीप तेजका ही निवासस्थान है। वहाँ कोई किसीसे बढ़कर नहीं था। सबका तेज समान था
na tatrābhyadhikaḥ kaścit sarve te samatejasaḥ |
ભીષ્મે કહ્યું—ત્યાં કોઈ પણ કોઈથી અધિક ન હતો; સૌનું તેજ સમાન હતું. અમને એમ જ લાગ્યું કે એ દ્વીપ જાણે શુદ્ધ તેજનું નિવાસસ્થાન છે—જ્યાં કોઈ પ્રાધાન્ય શોધતું નથી, કોઈ કોઈને વટાવી જતું નથી; આંતરિક શક્તિમાં સૌ સમાન છે.
