परिव्राजक-आचारः (Conduct of the Wandering Renunciant) — Mahābhārata, Śānti-parva 269
गृहमेवाभिसंश्रित्य ततो<चन्ये ब्रह्मचारिण: । त एते दिवि दृश्यन्ते ज्योतिर्भूता द्विजातय:
gṛham evābhisaṃśritya tato 'nye brahmacāriṇaḥ | te ete divi dṛśyante jyotirbhūtā dvijātayaḥ ||
કપિલે કહ્યું—કેટલાક ગૃહસ્થધર્મનો જ આશ્રય લે છે અને કેટલાક બ્રહ્મચારી રહે છે. તેઓ પોતપોતાના આશ્રમધર્મનું વિધિપૂર્વક પાલન કરીને અંતે જ્યોતિર્મય બની આકાશમાં દેખાય છે—દ્વિજરૂપે.
