मनवे सूर्यपुत्राय ददु: खड्गं सुविस्तरम् । बेटा! फिर महेन्द्रने लोकपालोंको और लोकपालोंने सूर्य-पुत्र मननुको वह विशाल खड्ग दे दिया
manave sūryaputrāya daduḥ khaḍgaṃ suvistaram |
ભીષ્મે કહ્યું—તેઓએ સૂર્યપુત્ર મનુને તે વિશાળ અને પ્રબળ ખડ્ગ અર્પણ કર્યો. આ કથાપ્રવાહમાં તે શસ્ત્ર દિવ્ય અનુમોદનથી ધર્મરક્ષણનું સાધન બને છે—માત્ર વ્યક્તિગત બળથી નહીં, પરંતુ ઉચ્ચતર સ્વીકૃતિ અને વૈધ અધિકારથી યોગ્ય શાસકને સોંપાય છે.
