कपोती-विलापः स्वर्गसंयोगश्च

The Dove’s Lament and Celestial Reunion

सेव्यमानं विहज्गौघैश्छायावासफलार्थिभि: । धात्रा परोपकाराय स साधुरिव निर्मित:,इतनेमें ही उसे वृक्षोंके समूहमें मेघके समान सघन एवं नील एक विशाल वृक्ष दिखायी दिया, जिसपर बहुतसे विहंग छाया, निवास और फलकी इच्छासे बसेरे लेते थे, मानो विधाताने परोपकारके लिये ही उस साधुतुल्य महान्‌ वृक्षका निर्माण किया था

Transliteration

sevyamānaṃ vihaṅgaughaiś chāyāvāsaphalārthibhiḥ | dhātrā paropakārāya sa sādhur iva nirmitaḥ ||

Translation

ભીષ્મે કહ્યું—છાંયો, આશ્રય અને ફળની ઇચ્છાથી પક્ષીઓના ઝુંડ જે મહાવૃક્ષને સેવતા હતા, તે એવું જણાતું હતું કે વિધાતાએ પરોપકાર માટે જ તેને સાધુ સમાન ઘડી કાઢ્યો છે।
