परेषां सिद्धिमाकांक्षन्‌ नीच: स्याद्‌ धर्मभिक्षुक:

Transliteration

pareṣāṁ siddhim ākāṅkṣan nīcaḥ syād dharmabhikṣukaḥ

Translation

ભીષ્મ બોલ્યા—જે પોતે આચરણમાં નીચ રહીને પણ બીજાની સિદ્ધિની ઇચ્છા રાખે, તે ધર્મનો ભિક્ષુક બને છે—પોતાના શિસ્તબદ્ધ સાધનાથી નહીં, પરના પુણ્યને ભિક્ષા સમજી ફળ માગે છે.
