यतितं विजये नित्य दैवं तु दुरतिक्रमम् । “आपलोगोंने अपने स्वरूपके अनुरूप योग्य पराक्रम प्रकट किया और सदा मुझे विजय दिलानेकी ही चेष्टा की; तथापि दैवके विधानका उल्लंघन करना किसीके लिये भी सर्वथा कठिन है”
yatitaṃ vijaye nityaṃ daivaṃ tu duratikramam |
સંજય બોલ્યા—“તમે સદા વિજય માટે પ્રયત્ન કર્યો; પરંતુ દૈવનું વિધાન અતિક્રમવું અત્યંત કઠિન છે. તમે તમારા સ્વરૂપને અનુરૂપ પરાક્રમ દર્શાવી સતત મને જીતાડવાનો જ પ્રયત્ન કર્યો; છતાં ભાગ્યની રેખા લંઘવી કોઈ માટે પણ સર્વથા દુષ્કર છે.”
