ईदृशो लोकथधर्मो<यं धात्रा निर्दिष्ट उच्यते । विनाश: सर्वभूतानां कालपर्यायमागत:
īdṛśo lokadharmo 'yaṃ dhātrā nirdiṣṭa ucyate | vināśaḥ sarvabhūtānāṃ kālaparyāyam āgataḥ ||
સંજય બોલ્યો— મિત્રો! મર્ત્યલોકનો એવો જ ધર્મ (નિયમ) છે; કહેવામાં આવે છે કે ધાતાએ જ તેનો નિર્દેશ કર્યો છે. તેથી કાળક્રમમાં એક દિવસ સર્વ પ્રાણીઓના વિનાશની ઘડી અવશ્ય આવે છે.
