चरणौ दहामानौ च नाचिन्तयदनिन्दिता । कुर्वाणा दुष्करं कर्म महर्षिप्रियकाम्यया,उस साध्वीने अपने जलते हुए चरणोंकी कुछ भी परवा नहीं की। वह महर्षिका प्रिय करनेकी इच्छासे दुष्कर कार्य कर रही थी

Transliteration

caraṇau dahāmānau ca nācintayad aninditā | kurvāṇā duṣkaraṃ karma maharṣipriyakāmyayā ||

Translation

વૈશમ્પાયન બોલ્યા—અનિંદિતા એવી તે સાધ્વીએ પોતાના દહન થતા ચરણોની કશી ચિંતા ન કરી. મહર્ષિને પ્રસન્ન કરવાની ઇચ્છાથી તે અતિ દુષ્કર કર્મ કરી રહી હતી.
