अध्याय ३: कृपस्य दुर्योधनं प्रति नीत्युपदेशः
Kṛpa’s Counsel to Duryodhana
सुचिरेणार्जिताल्लोकान् सद्यो युद्धात् समश्षुते । “कौरवो! युद्धधर्मसे बढ़कर दूसरा कोई स्वर्गका श्रेष्ठ मार्ग नहीं है। दीर्घकालतक पुण्यकर्म करनेसे प्राप्त होनेवाले पुण्यलोकोंको वीर क्षत्रिय युद्धसे तत्काल प्राप्त कर लेता है!

સંજય બોલ્યો— લાંબા સમય સુધી પુણ્યકર્મ કરીને જે લોક પ્રાપ્ત થાય છે, તે વીર ક્ષત્રિય યુદ્ધથી તરત જ મેળવી લે છે. ક્ષત્રિય માટે યુદ્ધધર્મથી ઊંચો સ્વર્ગમાર્ગ નથી; જે ફળ બહુ સમય પછી મળે, તે સંગ્રામથી ક્ષણમાં મળે છે.
