नान्यत् कर्मास्ति पापीय: क्षत्रियस्य पलायनात् | “इसलिये अपने बाप-दादोंके द्वारा आचरणमें लाये हुए धर्मका परित्याग न करो। क्षत्रियके लिये युद्ध छोड़कर भागनेसे बढ़कर दूसरा कोई अत्यन्त पापपूर्ण कर्म नहीं है
nānyat karmāsti pāpīyaḥ kṣatriyasya palāyanāt |
સંજય બોલ્યો— ક્ષત્રિય માટે યુદ્ધમાંથી પલાયન કરતાં વધુ પાપી કર્મ બીજું નથી. તેથી પિતૃ-પિતામહોએ આચરેલો ધર્મ ત્યજી ન દો; રણ છોડીને ભાગવું ક્ષત્રિયનું પરમ પાતક છે.
