Jarāsandha’s fall, liberation of kings, and request for support
स्वर्गमार्गाय कस्य स्याद् विग्रहो वै यथा तव । मागधेरविंपुलै: सैन्यैर्बाहुल्यबलदर्पित:
svargamārgāya kasya syād vigraho vai yathā tava | māgadher avipulaiḥ sainyair bāhulya-baladarpitaḥ |
અમારી સાથે થનારું તારો યુદ્ધ—તારા માટે સ્વર્ગમાર્ગનું જેટલું સહજ સાધન બની શકે, એવું યુદ્ધ બીજાને ક્યાં સહેલાઈથી મળે? પરંતુ મગધની વિશાળ સેનાઓ અને બળની બહુલતાના દર્પમાં આવીને બીજાનો તિરસ્કાર અને અપમાન ન કર. રાજન, દરેક મનુષ્યમાં કંઈક બળ અને પરાક્રમ હોય છે; કોઈમાં તારા સમાન તેજ છે, અને કોઈમાં તારા કરતાં પણ વધુ.
