तथा च सर्वास्तिमिरेण वै दिशो मेघैर्व॒ता न प्रदृश्येत किंचित् । अथापोवाह्या भ्रसंघान् समस्तान् वायव्यास्त्रेणापतत: स कर्णात्
sañjaya uvāca | tathā ca sarvāstimireṇa vai diśo meghair vātā na pradṛśyeta kiñcit | athāpovāhyā bhra-saṅghān samastān vāyavyāstreṇāpatataḥ sa karṇāt |
સંજય બોલ્યો—મેઘોથી ઘેરાઈને સર્વ દિશાઓ ઘોર અંધકારથી ઢંકાઈ ગઈ; તેથી કશું જ દેખાતું ન હતું. ત્યારે કર્ણ તરફથી ધસી આવેલા સમસ્ત મેઘસમૂહોને ધનંજયે વાયવ્યાસ્ત્રથી છિન્ન-ભિન્ન કરી નાખ્યા.
