भीष्मधनंजयद्वैरथम्
Bhīṣma–Dhanaṃjaya Duel and the Opening Clash
महता मेघनादेन रथेनामिततेजसा । विनिघ्नन् कौरवानीकं शूरसेनांश्व॒ पाण्डव:
mahātā megha-nādena rathenāmitatejasā | vinighnan kauravānīkaṁ śūrasenāṁś ca pāṇḍavaḥ ||
સંજય બોલ્યો—મહામેઘના ગર્જનાસમાન નાદ કરતો, અમિત તેજથી યુક્ત રથ પર રહેલા પાંડવ વીરએ કૌરવોની સેના પર પ્રહાર કરતાં શૂરસેન યોદ્ધાઓને પણ ધરાશાયી કર્યા.
