सम्बन्ध-- अब भगवान्‌ 4वह कैसे बैठता है?” इस तीसरे प्रश्नका उत्तर देते हैं यदा संहरते चायं कूर्मो5ड्रानीव सर्वश: । इन्द्रियाणीन्द्रियार्थेभ्यस्तस्य प्रज्ञा प्रतिष्ठिता

Arjuna uvāca: yadā saṁharate cāyaṁ kūrmo ’ṅgānīva sarvaśaḥ | indriyāṇīndriyārthebhyas tasya prajñā pratiṣṭhitā ||

જેમ કાચબો પોતાના અંગોને સર્વ તરફથી અંદર ખેંચી લે છે, તેમ જ્યારે આ પુરુષ ઇન્દ્રિયોને ઇન્દ્રિયવિષયોથી સર્વથા હટાવી લે છે—ત્યારે તેની પ્રજ્ઞા દૃઢ રીતે પ્રતિષ્ઠિત છે.
