ऋषभाक्षा महेष्वासाश्वमूमुखगता बभु: | पृष्ठगोपास्तु भीष्मस्य पुत्रास्तव नराधिप । दुःशासनो दुर्विषहो दुर्मुखो दुःसहस्तथा
sañjaya uvāca |
ṛṣabhākṣā maheṣvāsāśvamūmukhagatā babhuḥ |
pṛṣṭhagopās tu bhīṣmasya putrās tava narādhipa |
duḥśāsano durviṣaho durmukho duḥsahas tathā |
vivimśatiś citrasenaś ca mahāratho vikarṇaḥ |
satyavrataḥ purumitraḥ jayaḥ bhūriśravāḥ śalaḥ |
eteṣām anuyāyinaś ca rathā viṃśatisāhasrāḥ ||
સંજય બોલ્યો—હે નરાધિપ! વૃષભ સમાન વિશાળ નેત્રો ધરાવતા તે મહાધનુર્ધર વીર શત્રુસેનાના મુખભાગ સામે ઊભા રહી તેજસ્વી દેખાતા હતા. અને રાજન! ભીષ્મજીના પૃષ્ઠભાગની રક્ષા માટે તમારા પુત્રો—દુઃશાસન, દુર્વિષહ, દુર્મુખ, દુઃસહ—અને તેમની સાથે વીસ હજાર રથી અનુયાયીઓ તૈનાત હતા.
