Bhīṣma–Karṇa Saṃvāda on the Śaraśayyā (भीष्म–कर्ण संवादः शरशय्यायाम्)
ततस्ताञउशरजालेन संनिवार्य महारथान् । पार्थ: समन्तात् समरे प्रेषयामास मृत्यवे
tatas tāñ śarajālena saṃnivārya mahārathān | pārthaḥ samantāt samare preṣayāmāsa mṛtyave | ekaikaṃ tribhir ānarccchat kaḍukabarhiṇavājitaiḥ |
સંજય બોલ્યા—પછી પાર્થ અર્જુને સમરમાં સર્વ દિશાઓથી બાણજાળ પાથરી તે મહારથીઓને અટકાવ્યા; તેમની ગતિ રોકી તેમને મૃત્યુ તરફ ધકેલ્યા. અને દરેકને ત્રણ-ત્રણ તીક્ષ્ણ, ગીધપંખયુક્ત બાણોથી વિંધ્યા, તીવ્ર પીડા પહોંચાડી.
