भीमसेनस्य बहुमहारथसंयुगः

तत एवमुवाचार्त: क्रोधपर्याकुलेक्षणम्
tata evam uvācārtaḥ krodha-paryākulekṣaṇam | (śrī-kṛṣṇasya netre krodhena vyāpte bhavataḥ; saḥ phūtkārī sarpa iva dīrgha-niḥśvāsaṃ muñcan) | tasya sakhā arjunaḥ ārta-bhāvena premṇā uvāca— “mahābāho! nivartasva; sva-pratijñāṃ mṛṣā mā kṛthāḥ” |
સંજય બોલ્યો—તેમને એ રીતે જોઈ, ક્રોધથી વ્યાપ્ત નેત્રોવાળા શ્રીકૃષ્ણ ફુફકારતા સર્પ સમા લાંબા અને પ્રબળ નિઃશ્વાસ લેવા લાગ્યા. ત્યારે તેમના સખા અર્જુન વ્યાકુળ થઈ પણ સ્નેહપૂર્વક બોલ્યા—“મહાબાહો! પાછા વળો; તમારી પ્રતિજ્ઞા અસત્ય ન થવા દો.”
