Adhyāya 90: Babhruvāhana’s Reception and the Commencement of Yudhiṣṭhira’s Aśvamedha
धर्ममेव गुरु ज्ञात्वा तृष्णा न गणिता त्वया । “जब मनुष्यमें दानविषयक रुचि जाग्रत् होती है
dharmam eva guruṁ jñātvā tṛṣṇā na gaṇitā tvayā |
ધર્મને જ ગુરુ માનીને તું તૃષ્ણાને પણ કંઈ ગણ્યો નથી. જ્યારે મનુષ્યમાં દાનની રુચિ જાગે છે, ત્યારે તેનો ધર્મ ક્ષીણ થતો નથી. પત્નીપ્રેમ અને પુત્રસ્નેહ તરફ પણ નજર ન કરીને તું ધર્મને જ શ્રેષ્ઠ માન્યો છે અને તેના માટે ભૂખ-તરસને પણ તુચ્છ ગણ્યા છે.
