Rajo-guṇa-nirdeśa — Brahmā’s Enumeration of Rajasic Dispositions

रजोगुणा वो बहुधानुकीर्तिता यथाददुक्तं गुणवृत्तमेव च । नरो5पि यो वेद गुणानिमान्‌ सदा स राजसै: सर्वगुणैरविमुच्यते

Transliteration

rajoguṇā vo bahudhānukīrtitā yathāvad uktaṃ guṇavṛttam eva ca | naro 'pi yo veda guṇān imān sadā sa rājasaiḥ sarvaguṇair avimucyate, munivara ||

Translation

વાયુએ કહ્યું—મુનિવર! મેં તમને રજોગુણથી ઉત્પન્ન થતા અનેક પ્રકારના ગુણો અને તે ગુણોને અનુરૂપ વર્તનનું યથાર્થ વર્ણન કર્યું છે. જે મનુષ્ય આ ગુણોને સ્પષ્ટ રીતે સમજીને સદા સ્મરણમાં રાખે છે, તે રાજસ લક્ષણોના સમગ્ર જાળમાં ફસાતો નથી; તેમના બંધનબળથી મુક્ત રહે છે.
