Rajo-guṇa-nirdeśa — Brahmā’s Enumeration of Rajasic Dispositions
अस्मिल्लोके प्रमोदन््ते जायमाना: पुनः पुन: । प्रेत्य भाविकमीहन्ते ऐहलौकिकमेव च । ददति प्रतिगृह्नन्ति तर्पयन्त्यथ जुह्गमति
asmi loke pramodante j1yam1n1 puna puna | pretya bh1vikam 2bhante aihalaukikam eva ca | dadati pratigh nanti tarpayanty atha juhvati ||
વાયુદેવે કહ્યું—આવા લોકો આ લોકમાં વારંવાર જન્મ લઈને પ્રમોદ કરે છે, વિષયજન્ય સુખમાં મગ્ન રહે છે. મૃત્યુ પછી પણ તેઓ ભાવિ ફળની કલ્પનામાં પ્રયત્નશીલ રહે છે અને ઇહલૌકિક લાભ જ સાધે છે. તેથી કામનાને પ્રેરણા બનાવી તેઓ દાન આપે છે, પ્રતિગ્રહ લે છે, તર્પણ કરે છે અને યજ્ઞમાં આહુતિ અર્પે છે.
