अम्बरीषगाथा—गुणत्रयविभागः तथा लोभनिग्रहः
Ambarīṣa’s Gāthā: The Guṇas and the Restraint of Greed
स तैर्गुणैः संहतदेहबन्धन: पुन: पुनर्जायति कर्म चेहते । जन्मक्षये भिन्नविकीर्णदेहो मृत्युं पुनर्गच्छति जन्मनैव
sa tair guṇaiḥ saṃhatadeha-bandhanaḥ punaḥ punar jāyati karma cehate | janma-kṣaye bhinna-vikīrṇa-deho mṛtyuṃ punaḥ gacchati janmanā eva ||
તે ગુણોથી દેહબંધનમાં જકડાઈ તે વારંવાર જન્મ લે છે અને અહીં કર્મમાં જ પ્રવૃત્ત રહે છે. જન્મનો સમય પૂર્ણ થતાં દેહના તત્ત્વો અલગ અલગ થઈ વિખેરાઈ જાય છે અને તે મૃત્યુને પામે છે; અને એ જ પ્રક્રિયાથી ફરી જન્મ-મૃત્યુના ચક્રમાં પડી જાય છે.
