Puṣkara-Śapatha Itihāsa (Agastya–Indra Dispute at the Tīrthas) | पुष्कर-शपथ-आख्यानम्
नैव लोभ॑ तदा चक्रुस्तत: स्वर्गमवाप्रुवन्
naiva lobhaṁ tadā cakrus tataḥ svargam avāpruvan
ભીષ્મે કહ્યું—ત્યારે પણ તેમણે લોભને સ્થાન આપ્યું નહીં; તેથી તેમણે સ્વર્ગ પ્રાપ્ત કર્યો. અત્યંત ભૂખ્યા હોવા છતાં, મહાન પુરુષોએ અનેક પ્રકારના ભોગોથી લલચાવ્યા છતાં, તે મહાત્માઓ ઇચ્છા-વાસનાને વશ થયા નહીં—એથી તેઓ સ્વર્ગપદને પામ્યા.
