हरेज्ज्येष्ठ: प्रधानांशमेकं तुल्यासु तेष्वपि | मध्यमो मध्यमं चैव कनीयांस्तु कनीयसम्

સમાન દરજ્જાની સ્ત્રીઓથી જન્મેલા પુત્રોમાં પણ જ્યેષ્ઠ પુત્ર એક મુખ્ય (જ્યેષ્ઠ) અંશ લે; મધ્યમ પુત્ર મધ્યમ અને કનિષ્ઠ પુત્ર કનિષ્ઠ ભાગ લે.
