तथा ब्रूहि महाभाग कुरूणां वंशवर्धन । यदि शक्या कुरुश्रेष्ठ रक्षा तासां कदाचन ।।

Transliteration

tathā brūhi mahābhāga kurūṇāṁ vaṁśavardhana | yadi śakyā kuruśreṣṭha rakṣā tāsāṁ kadācana || kartuṁ vā kṛtapūrvā vā tan me vyākhyātum arhasi ||

Translation

અતએવ, હે મહાભાગ, કુરુવંશવર્ધન! કહો—જો ક્યારેક કોઈ રીતે તે સ્ત્રીઓનું રક્ષણ શક્ય હોય, હે કુરુશ્રેષ્ઠ, તો તેનો ઉપાય મને સમજાવો. અને જો અગાઉ કદી આવી રક્ષા કરવામાં આવી હોય, તો તે પૂર્વદૃષ્ટાંત પણ મને વિસ્તારે કહો.
