ऑपनआक्राा बछ। अकाल त्रिशो&्थ्याय: वीतहव्यके पुत्रोंसे काशी-नरेशोंका घोर युद्ध
Yudhiṣṭhira uvāca | śrutaṃ me mahad ākhyānam etat kurukulodvaha | suduṣprāpaṃ yad bravīṣi brāhmaṇyaṃ vadatāṃ vara ||
યુધિષ્ઠિરે કહ્યું—હે કુરુકુલ-શ્રેષ્ઠ, હે વક્તાઓમાં શ્રેષ્ઠ પિતામહ, તમારા મુખેથી મેં આ મહાન ઉપાખ્યાન સાંભળ્યું. પરંતુ તમે કહો છો કે અન્ય વર્ણો માટે આ જ દેહમાં બ્રાહ્મણત્વ પ્રાપ્ત કરવું અતિ દુષ્પ્રાપ્ય છે—તે કેવી રીતે સમજવું?
