रुद्र-स्तवराजः (Rudra-Stavarāja) — Exempla of Śiva’s Boons and the Hymn’s Phalaśruti
कला: काष्ठा लवा मात्रा मुहूर्ताहःक्षपा: क्षणा: । विश्वेक्षेत्र प्रजाबीज॑ लिड्रमाद्यस्तु निर्गम:
vāyudeva uvāca | kalāḥ kāṣṭhā lavā mātrā muhūrtāhaḥkṣapāḥ kṣaṇāḥ | viśvakṣetraṁ prajābījaṁ liṅgam ādyas tu nirgamaḥ ||
વાયુદેવે કહ્યું— કલા, કાષ્ઠા, લવ, માત્રા, મુહૂર્ત, દિવસ-રાત અને ક્ષણ—આ બધાં કાળનાં માપ અને વિભાગો છે. તે જ બ્રહ્માંડરૂપ વૃક્ષનું આધાર-ક્ષેત્ર છે; તે જ સર્વ પ્રજાઓનું બીજ-કારણ છે; તે જ અવ્યક્તનું અનુમાન કરાવતું સૂક્ષ્મ ‘લિંગ’ છે; અને સૃષ્ટિમાં સૌપ્રથમ પ્રગટ થનાર પણ તે જ છે.
