प्रतर्दनो दिवोदास: सुदास: कोसलेश्वर: । ऐलो नलश्न राजर्षिमिनुश्चैव प्रजापति:
pratardano divodāsaḥ sudāsaḥ kosaleśvaraḥ | ailo nalaś ca rājarṣir manuś caiva prajāpatiḥ ||
ભીષ્મે કહ્યું—“હવે આ રાજર્ષિઓનાં નામ વધુ સાંભળો—પ્રતર્દન, દિવોદાસ, કોસલના અધિપતિ સુદાસ, ઐલ (પુરૂરવા), રાજર્ષિ નલ અને પ્રજાપતિ મનુ. આ તથા પુરાણોમાં પ્રસિદ્ધ અન્ય પ્રાચીન પુણ્યાત્મા રાજાઓ સ્મરણયોગ્ય છે. જે મનુષ્ય દરરોજ વહેલી સવારે ઊઠીને સ્નાનથી શુદ્ધ થઈ પ્રાતઃકાળે અને સાંજકાળે આ નામોનું પાઠ કરે છે, તે ધર્મફળનો ભાગી બને છે.”
