येषां वृद्धश्न बालश्न सर्व: सम्मानमरहति । तपोविद्याविशेषात्तु मानयन्ति परस्परम्‌

Transliteration

yeṣāṁ vṛddhaśna bālaśna sarvaḥ sammānam arhati | tapovidyāviśeṣāt tu mānayanti parasparam ||

Translation

બ્રાહ્મણોમાં વૃદ્ધ હોય કે બાળક—બધા જ સન્માનને પાત્ર છે; પરંતુ તપ અને વિદ્યાની વિશેષતા પ્રમાણે તેઓ પરસ્પર વધુ માન આપે છે।
