उत्तारणो दुष्कृतिहा पुण्यो दुःस्वप्रनाशन: । वीरहा रक्षण: सन्तो जीवन: पर्यवस्थित:
bhīṣma uvāca | uttāraṇo duṣkṛtihā puṇyo duḥsvapnanāśanaḥ | vīrahā rakṣaṇaḥ santaḥ jīvanaḥ paryavasthitaḥ ||
ભીષ્મે કહ્યું—તે ઉત્તારણ છે, જે સંસારસાગર પાર કરાવે છે; દુષ્કૃતિઓનો નાશક; પુણ્યસ્વરૂપ, જે સ્મરણ કરનારને પવિત્ર કરે છે; અને ધ્યાન-સ્મરણ-કીર્તન-પૂજનથી દુઃસ્વપ્નોનો નાશ કરનાર. તે શરણાગતોની અનેક ગતિઓ કાપી જન્મ-મરણના ચક્રનો અંત કરનાર; સર્વથા રક્ષક; વિદ્યાઃ વિનયઃ ધર્મના પ્રચાર માટે સંતરૂપે પ્રગટ થનાર; સર્વ પ્રાણીઓનો જીવનપ્રાણ; અને સમગ્ર વિશ્વમાં વ્યાપ્ત થઈ સર્વત્ર સ્થિત છે।
