गुरु चाभिगतं प्रेम्णा गुरुवन्न बुभूषते । अभिमानप्रवृत्तेन लोभेन समवस्थिता:

Transliteration

guruṁ cābhigataṁ premṇā guruvan na bubhūṣate | abhimāna-pravṛttena lobhena samavasthitāḥ |

Translation

ગુરુ આવ્યા છતાં તેઓ પ્રેમપૂર્વક તેમની પૂજા કરતા નથી—તેમને ગુરુવત્ સન્માન આપવા ઇચ્છતા નથી. અભિમાનથી પ્રેરિત લોભમાં સ્થિત રહી તેઓ માનનીય લોકોનું અપમાન કરે છે અને મોટા-વડીલોનો તિરસ્કાર કરે છે.
