श्रीमहेश्वर उवाच रहस्यश्रवणं धर्मो वेदव्रतनिषेवणम् । अग्निकार्य तथा धर्मों गुरुकार्यप्रसाधनम्
śrīmaheśvara uvāca: rahasyaśravaṇaṃ dharmo vedavrata-niṣevaṇam | agnikāryaṃ tathā dharmo gurukārya-prasādhanam ||
શ્રીમહેશ્વરે કહ્યું—ધર્મનું રહસ્ય સાંભળવું, વેદોક્ત વ્રતોનું પાલન કરવું, અગ્નિકાર્ય (હોમ) કરવું તથા ગુરુકાર્યની સેવા-સાધના કરવી—આ બ્રહ્મચર્ય-આશ્રમનો ધર્મ છે.
