स बुद्धिश्रुतिसम्पन्नस्तं दृष्टवातीव भीषणम् | सामैवास्मिन् प्रयुयुजे न मुमोह न विव्यथे
sa buddhiśrutisampannas taṃ dṛṣṭvātīva bhīṣaṇam | sāmaivāsmin prayuyuje na mumoh na vivyathe ||
તે બ્રાહ્મણ બુદ્ધિ અને શ્રુતિ (શાસ્ત્રજ્ઞાન)થી સંપન્ન હતો. તેથી તે અત્યંત ભયંકર રાક્ષસને જોઈને પણ ન તો ગભરાયો, ન વ્યથિત થયો. તેણે તેના પ્રત્યે સામનીતિનો જ પ્રયોગ કર્યો.
