Duḥṣanta–Śakuntalā: Gandharva Marriage and Succession Condition
श्रियस्तु भाग: संजज्ञे रत्यर्थ पृथिवीतले । भीष्मकस्य कुले साध्वी रुक्मिणी नाम नामत:
śriyastu bhāgaḥ saṃjajñe ratyarthaṃ pṛthivītale | bhīṣmakasya kule sādhvī rukmiṇī nāma nāmataḥ ||
વૈશંપાયન બોલ્યા—પૃથ્વી પર લોકાનંદાર્થે શ્રી (લક્ષ્મી)નો એક અંશ જન્મ્યો; તે વિદર્ભરાજ ભીષ્મકના કુળમાં સતી-સાધ્વી રુક્મિણી નામે પ્રગટ થયો.
