King Duḥṣanta’s Entry into the Forest Hunt
एवं द्वैपायनो जज्ञे सत्यवत्यां पराशरात् | न्यस्तो द्वीपे स यद् बालस्तस्माद् द्वैपायन: स्मृत:
evaṃ dvaipāyano jajñe satyavatyāṃ parāśarāt | nyasto dvīpe sa yad bālas tasmād dvaipāyanaḥ smṛtaḥ |
આ રીતે મહર્ષિ પરાશર દ્વારા સત્યવતીના ગર્ભમાંથી દ્વૈપાયન (વ્યાસ)નો જન્મ થયો. અને બાળપણમાં જ તેને એક દ્વીપ પર મૂકવામાં આવ્યો હોવાથી તે ‘દ્વૈપાયન’ નામે સ્મરાય છે.
