मन्मथाभिपरीतात्मा नापश्यद्‌ गिरिकां तदा । अपश्यन्‌ कामसंतप्तश्नरमाणो यदृच्छया

Transliteration

manmathābhiparītātmā nāpaśyad girikāṁ tadā | apaśyan kāmasaṁtaptas caramāṇo yadṛcchayā ||

Translation

વૈશંપાયન બોલ્યા—મન્મથથી આક્રાંત મનવાળા રાજાએ તે સમયે ગિરિકાને જોયી નહીં. તેણીને ન જોઈ, કામતાપથી દગ્ધ થઈ, તે યદૃચ્છાએ અહીં-ત્યાં ફરવા લાગ્યો.
