Educational Q&A

The verse emphasizes vidhivat—acting according to prescribed order—showing that dharma is upheld through disciplined, reverent ritual that aligns communal life with auspicious and ethical order.

A ceremonial staff is decorated with garlands and floral strings, rites are performed properly, and Indra is worshipped in a haṃsa (swan) form as part of a calendrical/auspicious observance.
