देवसत्रे मृत्युनिरोधः, पूर्वेन्द्राणां मानुषावतरणम्, द्रौपदी-वरकथनम्

दुर्योधनादय: सर्वे ब्राह्म॒णैः सह संगता: । मृदुपूर्वमयत्नेन प्रत्ययुध्यंस्तदाहवे
duryodhanādayaḥ sarve brāhmaṇaiḥ saha saṅgatāḥ | mṛdupūrvam ayatnena pratyayudhyanta tadāhave ||
ત્યારે દુર્યોધન આદિ સૌ બ્રાહ્મણો સાથે એકત્ર થઈ તે રણભૂમિમાં વિશેષ પ્રયત્ન વિના, મર્યાદાવશ—જાણે રમતમાં—મૃદુ રીતે પરસ્પર પ્રતિ યુદ્ધ કરવા લાગ્યા।
